Well, I've made it to Event #3 of the Olympic CAS Spring DT Search. Can you believe it?! I'm still pinching myself that I've made it to the Top 10. Everyone's cards have been so gorgeous. The theme this time around was to create a CAS card inspired by a reporter. What news do we have to report to the world? Well, I decided to announce an engagement and make a Save the Date card. What do you think?
I love white-on-white layers, especially for love-themed cards, so I started with a Textured Whisper White card base. I then ran a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White cs through my Big Shot with the Elegant Bouquet Embossing Folder. I painted the flowers with my Two-Way Glue Pen and added Dazzling Diamonds to them. (Oh, so sparkly!)
I stamped the SAVE THE DATE with Basic Black ink and my Stamp-A-Ma-Jig onto Whisper White cs, snipped the right side to resemble a banner and layered it on Pretty In Pink cs (also snipped). I adhered the banner to the card with glue at the two ends and kept the center raised. For a final bit of eye candy, I threaded a bit of Pretty In Pink cs through the Pretty In Pink button and added it to the banner with a Mini Glue Dot.

This is so beautiful, Regina. I love the sparkle - it's perfect for a sparkling engagement - and the sparkly ring that usually accompanies it! I love the cute button too!

Wow, love the sparkle with that sweet touch of pink. This would work for everything from baby shower and bridal announcements to a sweet girl's birthday.
