This card is for the IC219 Challenge I was looking to create a Valentine for my DH and I was inspired by this piece ofArt by Gennine on Etsy.
I tweeked the stamped image of the birds by adding eyes, creating an indication of a wing on one bird and drawing a wing on a scrap, coloring it, cutting it out and gluing it on to the other bird. Though the only bluebirds in my backyard are bluejays, I like to use blue because I always think of the "bluebird of happiness" and it makes me smile.
The moon was created with a 1 3/8" punched circle and placed over the birds the heart was then reversed masked and I airbrushed the background with a COPIC ABS and blue COPIC markers. I removed the masks and put a mask on the birds and a reverse mask on the moon and airbrushed it with yellows. The masks were removed and the birds and nest were colored with colored pencils and gamsol and a bit of shading on the moon. I added white gel pen to the branches and also a bit of ATYOU Spica Clear for sparkle - I love that stuff
The sentiment was created with the JustRite alphabet, Times New Roman - 15 pt., using the small rectangular wooden handle. It was stamped in red and heat embossed with clear e.p.
Thank you for looking! I hope it helps to inspire you to stamp.
