This card is for Flourishes FTTC52B, where Betty Wright challenged us to "pop it up" to create dimension.
This card is to celebrate my DDIL Christine. She and DS live in suburban DC and were pummeled with snow this past weekend. despite it all, she was able to finish the last parts of her doctoral dissertation! We are all so proud of her, because she has been working full time as a demographer since May and has not had nearly the time to devote to that as a typical PhD candidate might. I was considering burgundy for her U (Texas A & M - go Aggies!), but I went with her favorite light blue.
Stamped the image, then colored in copics, added highlights with Spica pens (looks sparkley IRL). Stamped an extra daisy, colored and popped that. Paper pierced, sponged with Memento Pear Tart and SU So Saffron and added the flower bow. Matted on SU Night of Navy CS. Mounted on a Bashful Blue card. Stamped the sentiment on an oval nestie, mounted on a label nestie and popped on dimensinals. Added pearls and done.
Thanks for looking and have a peaceful day!
