Not my style of art but I did find inspiration in the colors from this jester image, the blues in the background brought to mind the shades of alcohol inks when using blues. I did substitute a tree for the jester. Thanks for the challenge Stephanie!
-The Background was done with alcohol inks. I applied the color one shade at a time and then applied the blending solution to lighten the colors, I kept it towards the center and let run outward so the edges would stay dark and add to the shades of blue.
-I did have about a 1/8” area of the medium blue on the lighter color near the bird that was to dark for my liking. I fixed it by putting a drop of the blending solution on waxy paper and picked up just a tiny amount with my corsage pin to add to the spot. I did this several times and it lightened it enough to suit me!
-The tree is stamped after the alcohol inks are applied using StazOn ink.
-Ink distressing was done on the paid panel.
-The inside and envelope are stamped with the plaid image after I stamped the card panel and without reinking the rubber so itÂ’s a very fate image that can be stamped or written on.
-As you can see if you look close I forgot to tuck the acetate piece inside the envelope before stamping, now had I done that it wouldnÂ’t have left a defined line where the back pieces overlap for assembly.

WOW! Roxy, this card is a work of art within itself. Love your sponged b/g and that reflects the IC piece. Great job!

I like this - it's very atmospheric, and amazing work with the inks. I must say I prefer this a long way to the original. I do like his fashion stuff and some of the costume design, but when he becomes more archaic and ornate, then he loses me.
I wouldn't have noticed about the envelope if you hadn't said .
