What a neat challenge for the opening ceremonies!!! I loved looking at all the flags from different nations and seeing names of nations I've never heard of!!
The flag/nation I chose was Madagascar. The colors are what jumped out at me right away and then just how clean and simple the design is.
So, in keeping with the CAS look, I tried to keep it CAS!! And when you only 45 minutes to finish, CAS is the way to go!!
The other thing about this flag was "retro" feeling it was. So I used the tone on tone technique with card stock on the Melon Mambo piece with circles.
The butterflies were cut/embossed from scrap dsp, actually the whole card was made from my scrap stash!!
Accessories: distressor tool, dimensionals, Mambo and black markers, wide oval, 1/2", 3/4", 1", and 1 3/8" circle punches, big shot, beautiful wings embosslit
Techniques: tone-on-tone, distressing, die cutting
