I made this card for this weeks Flourishes challenge, which was to use black, yellow and another colour of your choice.
The obvious choice was going to be the daffodils or crocus from the calendar set .
I stamped the daffodils on watercolour paper with Versafine Black and coloured with H2Os. Stamped the name in Versafine Olympia Green. Cut with Labels 1, went round the edges with a black Sakura Stardust pen and added little dots with a gold Stardust pen all the way round. I made a ribbon frame (TLC212) using yellow satin ribbon and black Bazzill Bling. Layered up on yellow Bazzill, more black Bazzill Bling and then onto a 5 3/4" square white base. Added black pearls in the corners, and that was it.
We had 6" of snow in the garden when I got up this morning - these bright yellows were so welcome to work with today.
