I made these, and then tied a ribbon around them and hung them off jar candles. The candles were white and smell like vanilla.
I used shirt cardboard (for sturdiness) and glued paper to both sides of it- the back had cream colored cardstock on it, so it looked finished.
The paper on the front is handmade gold paper.
I stamped the Inkadinkado dove using All Night Media fabric ink. I knew the paper was too absorbant to use regular ink, and if anyone burned the jar candle with the tag on it, I knew embossing powder would just melt off. Once the bird dried, I added a thin layer of glue and glitter.
The letters for PEACE are by EK Success, I stamped them on cream cardstock, and cut loosely around each letter. I used craft foam to give the letters dimension, and added a little rhinestone.
I punched holes so I could add a ribbon. I used my brand new (YAY) CropADile to punch holes, and the eyelets are by them as well.
The corner pieces are chipboard punch outs inked with the fabric ink.
Lots of the stuff used was from the dollar store, the ribbon, glitter, chipboard photo corners, and rhinestones.
These were a huge hit, and people were surprised I made them (in a good way) and they were able to hang these on the candle, a doorknob, or the Christmas tree. Once I figured out what papers to use, the project was pretty easy... just a lot of drying time.
