This card was made at the request of a friend. Her DH has been buying lots of antique Tiffany lamps and she's become a bit concerned about the quantity of these beauties. She wanted me to incorporate this into a Christmas card for him. I had to sit with this idea for a couple of weeks before I firgured out a way to make this work. I found some photos of Tiffany lamps online and sized and printed them onto cardstock. Then I build a scene around them using lots of very old SU retired sets.
The inside greeting reads:
Tiffany lights make our tree
Shine so merry and bright!
But if we add any more,
It might tip over tonight!
This is also for this week's Tea Pot Tuesday Challenge. Let me explain. You will notice that even though there is much excitement and merriment among the elves, the cat is sleeping peacefully in front of the fire. That is because there are no small house mice peeking out of the their doorway. In fact, there are none to be found in the house tonight at all as they are all at the Rodents House for the big party. So the cat does not have to stand guard over that wee door near the fireplace. Tiffany, the cat, keeps a pretty tight ship, so any merriment on the part of the mice must take place elsewhere. I know I saw some house mice at that party! I hope they enjoy a fine feast, merry dancing and much laughter! Wishing them and all the tea party ladies a very merry Christmas!
Edit: Oops! Sorry about the thumbnail. I did notice before the final upload that the card image was still upside down from the scan, but I didn't correct it until after. My world is just upside down from the holi-daze!

Kathy, first thumbs up on the clever story, I love it. What a beautiful Christmas scene. I just love the Tiffany lamps in there. Funny, ya think he will get it. LOL
I love your colours, the candycane ladder, see there are so many, elves are climbing on them to decorate the tree. You know they are all invited, even Missy Tiffany, she just needs to chill out, it's Christmas after all. We'll make her nice with everyone you'll see.
Thanks for coming and for adding another beautiful card to our already beautiful gallery. hugsxo

Kathy, what a lovely creation. You have done such a great job of combining/masking/coloring. I like the little mouse hole, and the fact that kitty can snooze peacefully.

Well, that was some challenge to come up with a card to fit the request - but how well you did. Bet your friend loves it. It's such a warm and cosy Christmas scene, too, with Tiffany snoozing on the mat, and the lovely tree. I stretched my interpretation of the challenge a bit too - but hey, we both got cards we're using, so that's good.

Your friend has found a gem in you! The thought and time you put into this card show real friendship. Gotta love those Tiffany lamps. Good to know our tea party will have lots of light especially to see what Bertie is doing at all times!

Now if this is'nt weired... I was just looking at your fireplace on your card and our fire alarm went off in our building. Some one was cooking and spilled grease on there burner and the smoke set the fire alarm off. When it goes off it goes off in all our apts and throughout the building, and it is loud...
