For my Cardinal, I used the scallop circle punch for the tail, and trimmed down a square piece of black cardstock for the eye mask. The beak is a piece of Pumpkin Pie cardstock, sponged with Real Red. The edges of the red pieces are sponged with Real Red. The wing is popped up with a dimensional, as is the body.
The sky is made by stamping the snowflakes from "Merry & Bright" with Versamark and embossing with clear EP, masking off the bottom snow portion, then brayering on Bashful Blue, Brocade Blue and Brilliant Blue. The ink is wiped off the snowflakes.
I used the branch from the retired "Mixed Bouquet" stamp set, and the string is from "Hung Up on the Holidays."
The ornament, from "Ornamassortment," is embossed with clear EP and colored with Twinkling H20's and then cut out and glued beneath the string.

Now, how clever is this?!! So cute with the snowy slope, the falling flakes, the hanging ornament. I LOVE the punchy cardinal! What a great card, Linda!

I have a SIL who loves cardinals and I think I'll put one of these on the next card I send her! Thanks for sharing your talents AND all those wonderful links, Linda! (By the way, the ornaments on this card look fabulous, too!)
