The sage shadow piece on the "warm winter wishes" part is really a circle (1 1/4") punched from sage and then the slot punch is used on it, making a sort of 'paper' clip. Then a 1/2" circle is punched from the part she ripped off the main section and added as an embellishment.
This card is gorgeous--the picture doesn't do it justice! I'm so glad it was posted, though, for I diligently took notes so i could CASE it. But you know what they say, "A picture is worth. . ."!!!

Emilysuesue (or anyone that saw this in person) -- Do you have a clue as to how this was done? Blue brayered on white or is that just a white strip of paper attached on the edge of the blue? Is this similar to the emerging color technique? Very interesting & striking!

The gal who demonstrated this emerging color (she called it 'peekaboo colors') technique, stamped two different sized solid circles on a 1/4 sheet of whisper white. The larger circles=bashful blue, small circles = sage shadow. She also filled in with some open circles in sage. Then she stamped snowflakes, using versamark. Probably 3 large snowflakes first and then filled in with 2 sizes of smaller flakes. Embossed w/clear embossing powder.
Then she brayered over and over and over it w/bashful blue to cover it all. Wipe any ink off the embossed flakes after giving it a chance to dry for a few seconds.
She ripped the part off the right side, leaving the white part exposed. It doesn't look like it in the scan, but my notes say it was a bashful blue card it was mounted on. Hmmmm?
Like I said above, the sage shadow piece on the "warm winter wishes" part is really a circle (1 1/4") punched from sage and then the slot punch is used on it, making a sort of 'paper' clip. Then a 1/2" circle is punched from the part she ripped off the main section and added as an embellishment.
Isn't it GORGEOUS!!! Stamp camp here it comes!!!
