I made this in honour of my friend Geoff who's been reading Braille fluently since he was 5 years old (he was born blind). i love to watch him reading as his fingertips just fly across the pages! The letters are right but the scale is bigger than proper Braille. Each letter in Braille is a different combination of a grid of six raised dots which are embossed onto the page. Braille pages are just the ultimate in embossing!
My friend loves the idea that I created something visual out of something that was actually designed not to be visual! Anyhow, it was fun, and I'll be making his Christmas card along these lines too. It will need to be very long card and I'll need a lot of brads. There are a lot more letters in Happy Christmas!
Thanks for popping by!

Friends are like the walls of a house. Sometimes they hold you up, sometimes you lean on them. But sometimes, it's enough to know they're just standing by.
