This is my second card for today's Featured Stamper Challenge. It is also for Friday's Limited Supply challenge to send a Christmas RAK. I am sending this to Noah Biorkman, a 5 year old who is dying of cancer and has only a week or so to live. They are celebrating Chrismas with him now and his wish was to gets lots of Christmas cards. For more information on this see Friday's Limited Supply challenge here:
This image seemed a good choice since Noah has said he likes angels. I used homemade flower soft on the wings (scraped two styrofoam balls together and used the scrapings. They can be colored with reinkers also for colored homemade flower soft) with a touch of DD glitter and some gold glitter on the star and the halo lights. There is only one piece of DSP paper on this card. The striped piece is actually a piece of white cs that I drew on with markers. I didn't do so well limiting layers, but I was trying to follow some of the elements in Christine's card. The three stars on the bottom have three layers of paper for a bit of dimension. Image was colored with watercolor crayons and blender pens.
My card is square not rectagular like Christine's. I left off the ribbon on the smaller square and used blue and burgundy rather than blue and orange for my colors. It is a holiday card, but for Christmas as opposed to Easter. Since my ribbon was wider I added my "brads" (stars) on the card base rather than the striped piece.
Card measures 5 1/4" square.
