My DD has 6th birthday parties on every weekend until December, so I have had to put my Christmas cards on hold while I churn out a whole lot of girly cards - which I don't mind making 'cos girl cards are soooo easy and fun! And this image suits any age which is why I use it a lot for my cards. I chose this image too because the birthday girl in question LOVES cats.
The image was stamped onto Elzybells smooth white cs with Memento ink and coloured with a mix of Prismacolor pencils, Gamsol and Acrylic paints. I added Kindyglitz Crystalina to the envelope, flower petals, present and the kitty's cheeks. I added a Scor-Pal line above and below the image. The embossed border is from the CB 'With Love' ef set and I used my pink Prisma pencil to outline all the petals which I then softened with my Gamsol - looks like it is chalked IRL. You can barely see the pink colour in the photo but it is far more obvious, although subtle, IRL. I glued some lemon pearls to the flower centres.
The sentiment is from my Elzybells Spring Cubes clear stamp set which includes sentiments, and was stamped with Stazon ink, and popped up on 1mm mounts.
The ribbon was made in 2 separate elements and the bow itself was made with my Bow Easy then attached with a glue dot.
Thanks for having a peek at my card!
