I made this card with a lot of challenges in mind. The first was the teaparty yesterday for Mothermark found here: http://mothermark.blogspot.com/2009/...-my-story.html . I loved Lorraine's and Sabrina's magic cards. I wanted to try one. I love the end result, but I really struggled with the magic card part.
This is also for the TLC244. I did retiform technique on the frame.
I did it for the Stampin' Sisters in Christ Challenge #10 - Make a card that expresses your thankfulness for someone or something they have done, or that encourages someone to be thankful.
The Stampin' Sisters in Christ Challenge #10 can be found here: http://stampinsistersinchrist.blogsp...cles-1634.html
I wanted to thank my mom for being my friend and to let her know how much I love her.
I also made it for Kelly's word of the week WOW10 found here: http://ginghamgirlsadventures.blogsp...eek-wow-9.html
chinwag #slang#: conversation; chat
My mom and I can chinwag with the best of them. Well, maybe I can and my mom listens to me. As I was stamping the word MOM it made me think that MOM is WOW upside down.

OMG Marilynn! You tried one? If you struggled with the magic part, then I know I would fail! This is beautifully done. This was the teapot Tuesday for magic cards and you aced this challenge. I love the color you put to the butterfly. Ole Blacken won't have any choice other than to lighten up, color up!
Thanks again MariLynn for posting the challenges while I was away. You rocked all month long! Thanks from the bottom of my heart!

This is SO pretty MariLynn! Love how you turned black and white to color. Pssst.... I don't even want to know how that is done cuz I think it looks like magic and really hard!
Great new avatar as well.

I noticed the WOW/MOM thing RIGHT away! I love this magical butterfly card! You really know how to stamp some butterflies! And I just saw that YOU were the Technique Lover's Challenge hostess this week, woo hoo! I can't wait to try your retiform technique this weekend. Thanks so much for playing and adding such a beautiful WOW card to my WOW challenge gallery!

I too was intrigued by that magic card, but it look too difficult for me. Glad to see you gave it a try, maybe someday I'll get brave and have a go at it. You did such a wonderful job. You sure have a way with the butterflies. Awesome card MariLynn. TFS :0)
