A while ago Stamp Muse sent me a link for making a frame for an Embossed Frame. I crashed my computer and it went who knows where. So being such an airhead I thought I would experiment.....DO NOT ever take really super thick cardboard and run it through an embossing folder. My folder had to go in the garbage, but I had to use squashed cardboard.
i stamped my image and added dazzling diamonds and white gel pen. Punched some small stars and adhered them around my oval. Colored some clear dollar store gems with copic marker #59-Cardinal. Sprayed my card base with homemade shimmer mist and my oval. Embossed the sentiment in gold. and added ribbon and there you have it.Popped the wreath up with dimensionals Thanks to Anne Ryan for the gel pen!

At least you got a cool card out of the disaster. I love the shimmery paper and the ribbon and the scene is lovely. Great job!

With all your trials and tribulations I can so appreciate this card the more! I love that sparkling blue CS in the background. Thank you for telling us about the thick cardboard though. This is a very pretty wreath...oval, never thought of that! TFS and make sure you get your vitamin C's they help to get over a trashed CB folder, well, that's what my cardmaker therapist told me anyway. LOL
Poor little Peggy-Sue. Phew...I know how the life of a cardmaker gets very dangerous and sometimes disconcerting (such big words for such a small brain lol). I understand how hard it can become, hey I stood on my head to make a bow yesterday! LOL

Wow, after I got past the line about DO NOT and you had to throw your folder away, I realized this card was one heck of a card to make. Love all those punched stars. And arent you something with your copic coloring for the dollar store bling. I guess this is what happens when you leave a creative woman alone for awhile ... she gets really really creative minus a few snafu's! Beautiful card, dahling. Behave yourself badly!!!

Warning! Warning! Don't do what Peggy-Sue did with the embossing folder.
So glad you let us know. I love how you try this different techniques even when it destroys your supplies. ;) But, in the end, this turned out to be a gorgeous wreath card. Makes me start singing a song that includes, "a sleigh ride together with you". What is that song? Never mind. Love your card!!!

A moment of silence for your embossing folder...
Okay that's as quiet as I can get! At least you have a pretty card to prove you won!!! I like all those stars around the frame.

May your Embossing Folder RIP. Thankfully, they aren't pricey! Now, you may disagree, but this card was worth it. JUST FABULOUS! So much texture, but harmonious! Your homemade spritz is fab, and your homemade glitz is perfect. Cardinal Red it my FAVORITE Copic red, bar none. Going into my favs! TFS!!!

OMGosh, you did NOT ruin your embossing folder, please say you didn't! I feel horrible now for the mere suggestion of that little idea.
But your very expensive card is fantabulous, PS!
I actually ditched the idea after about 17 attempts. Pshaw on that. I'll try to remember to never send links until I've tried it!
