I just love recessed cards! Simple to make but always deliver the WOW!
After making a few of these recessed cards, I have found that if you score 1/8" on either side of center your card will fold nicely with a square top to allow for the recess.
Since my mom is a quilter, I borrowed one of her square rulers to cut and mark my squares for the window. I have since got my own collection of various sizes of these little jewels. It makes quick work of the window, and makes it very easy to see exactly where the square will be before marking and cutting.
If you don't yet have the stardust glitter gel pens, you must get them! It adds so much depth when you need just a little something. I used it on this card over the sentiment and in a few places over the leaves and stem.
