I was really struggling with a card I was asked to make for a friend's friend who was turning 50. Greg is a Hairdresser, he is also a very talented when it comes to sewing, loves champagne and antiques. I pondered this for weeks - then I saw this weeks MOJO 106 Sketch and everything fell into place! The base card is SU Natural Ivory with a layer of SU Kraft then a layer of SU Very Vanilla embossed in the Cuttlebug with the Textile Folder. I then layered SU Bella Blue Pattern Paper on Kraft and sewed the edges on the sewing machine. I wrapped a ribbon around the layers and embellished with a Scissors Charm. I then cut a large and small mat of Natural Ivory with my Nestabilities Large Scallop Rectangles and used the Rectangular Shaped to fit in Very Vanilla. I heat embossed the Champange Image (Heart Art Studios) in Gold Embossing Powder and trippled matted the image before placing it on very thin foam squares. The 50 is cut using my Quikutz and then embossed with the Gold Embossing Powder it is raised on thicker foam dots. Unfortunately it is one of those cards that is better in real life as it didn't photograph well.
