Well, we are off to Jellystone Park for another tea party. I just love Yogi and Boo Boo!! But I'm not to sure about that Barney in our basket of treats. I hope we can get him out before he drinks all the good stuff.
Those big bears scare me so I decided to try to tease him out of the basket with one of Widow Rosie's peach pies. I know bears love them cuz several yrs. ago, one came through the woods next to her little cottage and stole a pie she had left on the window ledge to cool, nothing was left of it but the plate and some beary lookin tracks. Well, widow Rosie sure was hoppin mad, that meant that Miss Sadie from the B Street Bible Baptist Church was going to get the ribbons at the fair...but I got sidetracked, sorry!
So, knowing this was the time of yr. she would be making her famous pies from the famous CO peaches that trucker Bob brought her, I headed through the woods to spy on her house. And when no one was watching, I left some mula on the ledge and made off with one of the pies still hot from the oven. I bet he can smell it already, the steam is wafting all over, hope it will entice him to get out of our basket of goodies.
The pie is cut with cricut and From my Kitchen cart. I really like how the piecrust came out. I punched heart holes so the "peachy" filling would show and made a bazillion oval and inked them for Widow Rosies famous fancy crust. And I'm going to use this for a friend who just bought her first house.
Now, off to sip some tea!! Esp. since one of the ladies was bringin peach tea, my fav.

There is nothing like a peach pie still warm. Especially with a scoop of vanilla icecream. How about you and I go have the pie and the bears can have what is in the baskets. I love your wallpaper and the cute little curtain. It looks like the leaves are already starting to change color by your window.

Widow Rosie got riped off two years in a row? She might be getting a little dense in her later years, you know...once burned.....She should try leaving her pie on the front porch next time...that would probably work! Snort!! I am sure she is scratching her head thinking....who would have left me money? Giggle!
I love your cute little card, and peach pie, yummers! What a fun story too...betcha Barney will jump outa the basket for this treat!

What a yummy looking pie. We don't have peach pie over here, but you make me want to try it. You made that pie-crust border out of oval!! They must be teensty, such patience. I really like your little window scene - I am sure your friend will love this as a card to celebrate her new house.

I was hoping it was peach!!! Yeah!!! My favorite. Do you think we can find some vanilla ice cream and a microwave to warm the pie. I am not asking for much, huh!! Cute story and what's better than a card with a pie on it!! tfs.

We have just eaten another CO peach - YUMMY! I wish I could make a crust as good as yours looks. I am with several others before me - lets forget about giving Barney that pie and just eat it ourselves.
That is also a great window treatment. TFS

Hey, did anyone bring a battery-operated microwave to warm Connie Jo's pie out here in the wilderness?
Great creation! Love all your details and I agree that the crust turned out perfectly!
