Ahhh, I don't know about you, but I can't stand the look of spiders. When I picked up my boys from school earlier, they both looked at me and said "OMG, what is that?" I said, "What is what?"...they said LOOK! Look at the garage side panel...A HUGE SPIDER! I said, that's a Tarantula. OMG! I immediately said...that thing has to go. I thought my husband was playing a joke on me because sometimes he does things like that. Wrong! It was real, because it moved. Every time my older son tried to move it with the broom stick, we all screamed! It was too funny! Our neighbor ended up picking it up and taking it to the pasture behind his house.
Ok, onto the Inspiration Challenge. We were to create a card from the CWDKids website. I chose this spider web t-shirt...http://s7d1.scene7.com/s7/zoom/fastz...&transparent=1. Well, since I had the experience with dealing with a tarantula earlier in the day, I thought it would be an idea that I do this inspiration. I started out by using the cb spider web emboss folder onto black c/s. Then I took the MS fine glue tip and went over the embossed webs and splinkled white glitter on it. I did this process for a good 10 minutes. I wanted it to be sparkling. That was time consuming. I created the tarantula to resemble the one that we had at our house, not the photo. It was an orangy colored one with orange legs. YUCK! I used 2 size oval punches for the body and the scallop circle punch for the head. I ran the body and part of the head through the cb bubbles folder as well. I made 8 legs with the corner punch and used a smaller corner punch for the orange. I added googlie eyes, small hole punches for the eyes and nose. I even gave the legs a little bit of distressed look to make it look hairy. I used the small cb spider die cut and hand written the sentiment with the white signa pen. I went back over it using the pumpkin pie Mark It Markers. The sentiment, tarantula, and the small spider are held on with pop dots. I had fun creating this card using glitter as my focal point. Thanks for the cute inspiration Stef. Have a wonderful Sat and thanks for dropping by.
What do you think? Can you see the white glitter on the web? It dawned on me this morning, that I could of used dp glitter paper instead of going through the hassle of making my own. I like my way better.

Your card is awesome - Once, when in Africa, we stayed with some friends and their son brought a jar near me with a big ole tarantula in it and kind of stuck it under my nose without a lot of warning because he wanted to make my Africa experience complete..........uh......yah......thanks kid.....i love you too.......
