We had some Tanzanian friends here on Tuesday night. When Boaz was studying over here ten years ago, he kept saying I had to come and visit, I could teach the ladies in his church how to cook and knit. Well - ten years later he's still asking, and when DH mentioned the opportunities for photography, Boaz thought he had another better enticement for me! Hence the Great Rift and the safari theme.
1DP - the green is DCWV Old World Stack, so technically it's patterned.
2 stamps - the elephant and the sand from Shore Thing
3 colours - green, navy and brown - the gray elephant is a neutral.
The base is A2 navy. The cracked earth textured layer is Clairefontaine Papers of the World. The green is DCWV, cut with an edger scissors. I stamped the image with grey onto watercolour paper, stamped the sand with Versamark and chalked the background. Punched the corners and added some brown embroidery cotton. 3 blue star bards to finish it off. It still needs something on the right-hand side, but nothing I have tried that will fit in the 1, 2,3 works. Maybe a sentiment when the time comes to use it...but maybe nothing.
