Loved working on this card - I still like my wedding colours together some 35 years later :-).
The orange was used as frock linings and barely showed, as in the card.
I stamped the flourishes on the background in versamark ink and then chalked them. The effect was very similar to the pattern on my bridesmaids dress.
The piercing and sponging on the edges of the medium colour softened the lines nicely. I painted the flower using twinkling H2O's, and popped it up over another painted image, slightly off centre to show the lower one and add depth.

I'm partial to these colors too. We were married Mar. 1, 1980, and our colors were yellow and orange....at a time when it was far from a popular choice for a wedding, hee, hee.
I didn't care, I liked the colors. In all these years, this is the first time I've run across anyone else who used those colors!
