Here it is! ssnotime94 - In honor of the 4th of July Sharon thought today it would be fun to incorporate stars and stripes into our work. Making a patriotic card is totally okay, but you don't have to make your card patriotic. As long as you have some stars and stripes somewhere in your creation, we will call you good to go! Later tonight, you can check out her official post here..
To make my "stripes" I simply cut up some strips of decorative paper, tacked them down and let my sewing machine "drive" to create some wavy lines. After stamping my image with permanent black ink onto my Classic White (the best paper for Copics EVER), the images were colored with Copics and featured the Delphinium, Poppy, Skin Tones 1, plus the Cool Neutrals from the Flourishes Copic Colleciton for shading. The sentiment flag below my image is also a sentiment in the Patriotism on Parade set. Wham bam, colored, mounted with some pretty paper and some fun ribbon I got at Hobby Lobby to give my creation some starts and.... done!
