June is my dh's and mine summer holiday time. This involves lots of fishing trips. This year he decided to do three local fishing tournaments. The last one he had conscripted me to be his partner instead of his usual buddy from work. Me? I only started fishing with him last summer, the odd time for fun (but usually catch more than him when I do go) he,he. Well to my *great surprize* we won the largest weight caught on the first day of it! My first tournament!??! This was also his first time winning in one. Well the prize for that day was a $1,000.00 cheque. Woo! Hoo!!! The next weekend we had a family wedding to go to in Kelowna B.C. and spent most of it on a helicopter ride in the mountains. WOW! I sure could do that more often!
Needless to say I have not had much stamping time and did not even get a card done for Father's Day for him. So this is my late one, thanks for the inspiration Dawn!
*Wink* that's me catching the fish and him wishing he caught more.

Who needs stampin' time when you're winning fishing tournaments and helicoptering around scenic areas? This sounds like some great quality time! I'll be looking for more prolific creations in your gallery say .. around snowfall? Heee.
Great card, great story! tfs

Sounds like this is the perfect card for your fishing loving hubby!!! Love the shape you've used and the embossing to give the effect of water waves! Great colouring too!!!
