This more is more challenge sounded like so much fun, I had to do it. I wasn't sure how to approach it, but ultimately decided to address it with matting. The layers in the less is more version on the left aren't matted. Also--I didn't use any DP on the middle panel, opting for plain cardstock (PTI Raspberry Fizz). I did add clear dewdrops to the sides of the main panel and stamped a background behind the verse.
On the more is more version on the right, all layers have a double matting of black and Raspberry Fizz. I also used DP on the middle panel, but eliminated the dewdrops. I also eliminated the background behind the verse on the main panel but added dots around the edge with a Prismacolor pencil (don't really like that touch...).
I think this quote is a good representation of all the strong women I know--they're leaders rather than followers and not afraid to blaze their own paths. I combined the verse with lots of pink to remind us all that we don't need to sacrifice our feminity to be strong.
This is my first time participating in the MIM challenge--did I do OK? TFL! (both cards are 6 x 6)
