I altered an AOL tin to serve as a storage place for Judi's Shabby Book. I lightly sanded, then gessoed. It was much easier than trying to cover it with Designer Series paper, because the AOL print would still show through.
With so many flowers to place, I decided to use Stencil Adhesive Spray (it's repositionable) to lay the flowers how I wanted, then used mono to place them permanently.

I'm glad I've been having all of my co-workers save their AOL tins for me...this is so creative! I was thinking of just painting it ... the 3D embellishments really look COOL!

I agree, always hang on to those odd containers, someone will come up with an awesome idea using them! Love how it's a re-used container and how it turned out. Petal prints is one of my very favorites. I can't believe it didn't make the catty!
