This card was made for a friend who owns a chocolate shop where she sells these divine organic, gluten free, dairy free chocolates. Her birthday is this week and she wanted a card she could frame for her shop. It is also for the Featured Stampers challenge. Congratulations INGE on being chosen. Your artwork is wonderfully detailed and fun. Here is the card that I took my inspiration from:
I was inspired by the basic layout and the blue/green combo. I tried adding flowers to this, but it put it over the top, since the images have so much detail. Because my friend love very elegant images, I decided to not do the piercing or buttons to stay more in line with the feel of these images.
I stamped and embossed the angel and then colored it. On a seperate piece of card stock I embossed and colored the chocolates border stamp and cut out two of them. I cut a slit into either side of the ribbon bundle on the angel image and tucked the chocolate into that space. The chocolates and ivy on the other panel required lots of masking. The background piece was done by stamping and coloring the background flourish stamp and then clear embossing over the image using a Versamarker. I then sponged on Cool Carribean ink and added shadows and highlights with markers. The finished card measure 5" X 7".
