I made this card for Cindy's weekly tea party. This week, Cindy is putting on a really elegant affair, complete with a red carpet out front and even bodyguards! She's invited the "A list" so we are to bring out our best bling!
I mustered up as much bling as I was able on short notice! I stamped Bella Toile with Versamark and embossed with gold EP. I colored the image with Copic markers then added bling to the flower centers. I gold embossed the butterfly, too, and added some Gold Stickles for a little extra sparkle. Popped up his wings and mounted him on some shimmery gold ribbon. You can't really see it in the photo, but I rubbed some metallic gold paste onto the white background to make it shimmer.
Thanks for hosting this ritzy tea party, Cindy! I hope that all the regulars behave themselves while your fancy guests are there!
TFL!

Bella Toile looks so uninspiring to me in the catalogue, and this is the second card I've seen that makes me think Hey, that should be on my wish list. This is simply gorgeous, Carla. I see some of your shimmery gold dust, too. Very elegant indeed.

Carla, your card is fabulous. I love how elegant it is. You did a really good job capturing the negative space. That is where I struggled on my card. Your butterfly is gorgeous. I love the bling on the flowers!!! I tried to behave.

I like the Asian feel you have given your card. The gold ribbon is such a nice base for the beautiful butterfly. Of course we regulars will behave. It is hard not to with white gloves and bodyguards!

WOW!!! This is a sure beauty!! I love the gold embossing and the images are very elegant. I think I need to get some new ink and powder. I'm not quite sure, but I haven't had the best luck with embossing.

Whoa, what an elegant card here! Love all the gold eb. I am so glad I at least put diamonds on my card. I couldn't compete with this beauty without them. LOL Did you try the cream puffs? Actually they are eclairs as my DD pointed out, because they have a custard filling instead of the whip cream filling. Love your card. TFS :0)

Carla! You do elegant very well! I love this beautiful card and I bet all the bling you mustered up in such short notice is absolutely beautiful in real life! I am worry though girlfriend. Cathy B might accidently smoosh one of her cream puff eclairs on it so my thoughts are stashing it in the safe and putting the biggest, baddest, buffest, body quard on it for the rest of the night!
Its a great card and needs to be protected. So far everyone is doing good but itz cuz the are star struck. Once the stars leave, the cream puffs will start flying! Mark my words!!!
So glad to have you again. You card rocks and I am dead serious abou protecting it!!!

As soon as I saw the pot this morning I thought of Bella Toile. Great choice Carla. Your embossing is awesome. I bet this looks super IRL. Great job. I am so glad you will be there. It seems like your kind of bash. Lovely card....MORE rain. I can't take it.
