For February Fan Club Challenge to be inspired by the artists around you. And sort of fits in today's colour challenge - Krafty Riding Sun (and a neutral) - although I am taking license and using different shades of these colours (hope that's okay)!
I take absolutely NO credit for this image. My daughter drew this sketch in charcoal for her art class last month and I immediately fell in love with it. I took a picture of her sketch and resized it and then printed on SU watercolor paper. I layered it using gold and black. Took some floral dp in a reddish/kraft combo and pleated into fans. Added black textured card stock that I wrapped in gold cording and then mounted all on gold paper. Added an asian symbol that I embossed on black paper. Popped into a shadow box and will now reside on our family room wall.
Thanks for taking a peek!

Laurie this is incredible. I LOVE it. I am hoping that she is entering this in some type of competition. Really great idea to reuse the image. Super job. Talent runs in the family...
