What can I say, I moved across the country, and I miss my Sister in CA. So this is for her, she loves to quilt and sew. This is the first thing I have made since I moved in December. The button came from a big jar of buttons my grandmother gave me. She used to make belts in a factory, and for some reason always had lots of buttons.
I embossed parts of the quilt with a versamark pen, then rubbed pastels over the top. I then spritzed it with a couple of drops of re-inker in a spray bottle, and dabbed it dry. I touched it up with a blender pen and eggplant ink to get the darker colors.

I'm sad this picture is so blurry, it was a much nicer card than it shows. You can't see the pretty ribbon, and I forgot to close the card, because the scallop shows on the white base of the card, I intentionally cut the top card 1/2" short just so you could see it...... Oh well, it's a new day!

I think your card is really pretty, not to mention that it is in my favorite color! I love how you used all of the different quilt blocks. I've been wanting that set myself! Neat story about the button too.
