We had sooo much FUN last night creating this card with the new stamps, hardware, and SAB ribbons that I got this week. I took my inspiration from a Botanical Blooms card in the SAB mini…….certainly celery, so saffron, natural ivory papers, old olive ink, corner puncher, and paper piercing needle were used. The tree is from the Thoughts and Prayers set and I used the mini joy from a set that I am not sure is still current, but my dear friend, used a current Birthday word in the window and it really filled the space better. The saffron is 9 and ½ long, scored at the 4 and ¾ mark and is 3 and ¾ inches wide. It gets mounted to a ¼ sheet of celery. The tree was stamped on a 3 and ¼ wide by 2 and ¾ long scrap of natural ivory paper. It was then sliced at the 1 and 1/8 inch mark from either side, leaving the tree trunk at 1 inch. I measured the hardware to get my celery piece for the window ( maybe 1 and ¾ by 1 and ½?) and then had to cut in so that none of the celery showed where it wasn’t supposed to, put a small piece of adhesive on the back of the celery paper and positioned the hardware, pierced brad holes with the needle since it was handy, and then did a better job taping, added the brads, finished with the piercing 15 holes on each area. Hope that this helps as this is a really versatile card example. We will use it again for other cards with or without the hardware, ribbon, using 3 images instead of cutting the one up, turned sideways, etc……ENJOY!!!
