Hello all!
I am uploading my twisted sister challenge cards this morning even though we normally upload on Fridays because I won't be here tomorrow and by golly.... I did this challenge, I have to upload it! LOL!
OK.... so this was seriously the hardest challenge for me ever!!!! We were to make Three cards... ALL COULD ONLY BE ONE SINGLE LAYER! Yikes was that ever tough!!! They had to be suitable for a birthday, and One had to be a Coffee (or brown) theme, One had to be a Guy Card, and One had to be a Cutesy Animal Card. We were allowed to use One Punch, One Ribbon and One embellishment per card. Whew! I sure hope I got it right because I was determined NOT to cheat! LOL!
So... here's what I came up with for my Coffee Themed card. I used my HM image and colored with Prisma Pencils, blended with OFM, then added a couple coats of Diamond Glaze to make the mug look shiny like ceramic. For my one punch I used my corner rounder and made the scalloped edge. I added clear glitter with a gel pen to the wafts, toe nails, eyes and nose, as well as the coffee beans. I sponged the edges inside and out with Creamy Caramel and then Ranger Distress Ink in Antique Linen. I do like how this one came out... I think because the scalloped edge gives the illusion of another layer. But it sure is a tough one to photograph! LOL!
Thanks for this fun challenge.... it's the hardest thing I've done yet challenge wise... single layers are NOT easy!!! But I stretched myself and am happy with the results. Thanks girls... I'll miss you all! Hugs!

How in the world do you get the embossing to show up in the photo!!! I love this card. The scalloped edge adds a very nice touch and you topped it off perfectly with the background stamp you used. Fantastic job.

So cute, love those little House Meeces, he looks so warm and content in his cup of Joe. Great job of sponging and especially that glaze! Very nice. TFS
