This is for Carolina's WICKED Challenge for March 2009.
Color combination: Chocolate Chip, Bashful Blue, Tangerine Tango, Old Olive. Luckily, I had some of all of these, but only scraps of Old Olive, so I used the burnished velvet technique (that I learned in a weekly Wow challenge) to make a faux ribbon of Old Olive.
Technique: faux stitching. One of my favorite tecnhniques because it looks so cool and is easy. Also, who doesn't love a paper-crafting technique that involves stabbing things?
Sketch: I may have strayed a bit from the sketch as Carolina laid it out, but I really wanted to use my new SAB set, Polka Dot Punches, since we still have another month of SAB to go, and I have a couple of events scheduled for March.
I don't have the 5-Petal Flower Punch, so I simply cut the 2 flowers out with my Paper Snips--easy enough for that image. Also, I used the Seeing Spots Classy Brass Template to add a little bit of dry embossing to the card base. Not sure if that is still a current SU item. I don't have a light table, so had to hold the card up to the window (very cold!) and use the end of a chopstick.
