So many beautiful pieces to choose from today. Thanks again Stef! I chose this one mainly because it looks like the bg I have been trying to do. So today, I actually read the instructions and followed them closely. It turned out a lot better than my try at it last week. You can find the instructions for this bg in the Spring 2009 Rubber Madness Magazine. Now onto the card details......
Briefly, for the bg, I did an alcohol ink wash on glossy cs. Put some alcohol colored ink on a brush tip and put drops on my bg panel. Then I took a smaller brush, dipped it in alcohol, the rubbing kind, then dropped drops over the other drops. did this with different colors many times. Has a cool look don't you think? Set this aside.
Stamped my image, clear ep, colored with copics and cut out. Set it on white cs, traces around it only making it a little larger, then cut that out and traced around the edges with a blue copic marker. Glued these two together.
Sponged edges of white cs with denim, layered my bg on top. Sponged edges of white card with peeled paint. Then with acrylic paints I put navy blue dots on three sides, let dry. Then put tiny white dots over the blue dots, let dry.
Put my panels on my now dotted card, then popped up the image. Added the tiny bow for fun. Well, what do you think?.................as always, TFL :0)

Very striking! What a fabulous alchol ink background with so many colours! The peppermint that you have cut out and place on top of the background is equally striking and colourful! Very cool and wonderful card - well done!

WOW! This is beautiful. I love the technique you used. I am always trying techniques of some sort on my cards too. Nicely done.
