I really struggled with Beate's sketch Blogs at Splitcoaststampers this weekend.
I've just posted one card that didn't work and had to go back to the drawing board to do something that would fit the sketch.
I used my new BG Porcelain paper which arrived today, even though I had already planned out the stamp and chipboard last night using different paper.
The base is brown Bazzill embossed with the Texture ef. I used a strip cut from the lacy patterned paper down the side. Because I cut around the scalloped edge, that left me another strip which I layered under it, so the upper strip is on foam tape.
I used some lace which I found when I was tidying my sewing box - I dipped it in some cold tea to take the bright white edge off it. The bottom layer has the edge sponged with brown, a strip of lace and some tiny rhinestones. The top green layer has the Happy Birthday stamped directly onto the paper. The flower is stamped with green onto pink paper, punched out and layered up, with a gem. The bottom edge was punched with the scallop edge punch, pierced in each scallop and sponged with green. The top edge was sponged with green and a strip of lace added. Then I added some chipboard sponged with dark brown, and that was it.

You added lots of great things here. I really like lace. I think it is such a great layer on your card. The colors look good together. You are too hard on yourself. This is a beautiful card...
