For the Twisted Sister Challenge this week we were to make a SYMPATHY card, it had to be flat and postable (no knots on ribbons etc) and it is the perfect opportunity to make a card for the Australian Bush Fire victims to offer support to them and empathise with their situation.
This card is totally flat - the flowers may appear layered but are actually recessed in the great window card that misshelenstamps sent me....so they actually sit flat and I used flat brads rather than rounded ones!!
I have used my lace and 2 different widths of ribbon for effect, sitting the sentiment on the wider ribbon. The branches are from a RAK from Suleika (aka Roxystamper). I think the sentiment is perfect for this Sympathy card, letting them know they have been through the worst....the best is yet to come!
I hope you like it - I would be interested to hear from you!!! Thanks for looking.
If you are interested in sending some cards to the survivors of the Australia bush fires, to encourage and comfort them, send me a PM and I will send you my address to send them to - I will be sending them through the Red Cross....thanks!

Providing hope in a crises is so critical. I'm sure who ever gets this will feel the spirit. Seems so little for us to do, sending a card, but what else can we do? We watch with horror and disbelief as they show videos of Australia Brush Fires. May God have mercy on the survivors and keep them in his loving embrace as they face the recovery stage.

Linda, this is beautiful! Your sentiment will surely encourage! I love the colors of ribbon that you chose and that lace is so pretty! Love those torn corners! Beautiful card, gal!

This is beautiful Linda. I have them in my heart and prayers that they may find comfort in this difficult time. My hubby said he could see the smoke from the fires. Such a sad thing.
