My daughter calls my room "mommy's pink room". We painted this about two years ago -- I was pregnant with my son and my daughter had just been diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes. Our lives were completely turned upside down. This color really gave me the pick-me-up I needed.
Over the last month, it has finally gotten to where I wanted it to be. DH has moved his computer to the basement, basically making this truly my room.
Now if I could just figure out how to make some money on this instead of just spending it!

My work space/desk is the newest piece in my room. I believe this is a Pottery Barn inspired idea. I already had the end pieces -- bought from Target. The cubes are nice, but I wasn't getting full use from them due to size and children's fingers getting into them.
DH bought a piece of shelving that was 36" wide and had it cut to the length I wanted. He had used the same shelving in our pantry and by doing this, we took out the extra steps of painting, etc. He then trimmed it with some simple molding.
I absolutely love it. My kids leave the stuff alone and I am far more apt to get things done (and clean up afterwards).
Thanks for lookign!
