For my monthly technique class which was also my New Catty Kick Off Night this time. I'm down to only having about 8 colors left after 4 years of these technique classes so the tech reference cards don't always match the projects anymore. LOL!
Saw this technique in the Monday technique challenge TLC51 - it was called faux dry emboss...since there is also another technique with that name (using white craft ink) I tweaked the name of this one.

Faux Embossing Folder
Punch small shapes out of a piece of cardstock the same color as your card base or background cardstock. Adhere the punched shapes being careful to get the edges glued down well. The punched shapes can be adhered in one layer or two layers to create a dry
embossed background look similar to an embossing folder run through a Big Shot or Cuttlebug.
