Why is it that I have Christmas sets from LAST year, and new Christmas sets for this year that I've not used, yet the set I choose to make my Cards this year is not even a Christmas set!! ;o) I used the chickadee from Spring song. This little Chickadee is stamped on Velum and dry embossed as described in labullards ''Dare to get Dirty '07'' Challenge (directions here:Vellum Apple by labullard at Splitcoaststampers
he's colored with black, going gray, and Sahara Sand. I masked him then and heat embossed the snowflakes using Winter white EP. The Velum is mounted on Brilliant Blue for the sky color. Red crystals are used for the berries. Shimmer paper is used for the frame and I used a Dream Weaver stencil, Translucent paste and Dazzling Diamond glitter, for a more sparkly snow look. This is then mounted on a Copper backgrouind

Because I am the lucky recipient of this card, I can tell you this picture doesn't do it justice. I love how you colored the little chickadee Karen, and I love all of the sparkle in this card.

Such a cutie, and excellent use of the embossed vellum technique. Nice touch with the sparkly red berries. Best of all, I have him for myself! Thank you for sending him my way, Karen. Linda
