This is for my nephew's graduation. I made faux leather by taking creamy caramel, stamping on it, then crumpling it and wetting it, then direct to paper versamark, then clear embossing powder, then sanded off most of the powder then heat setting and letting the paper dry. Sounds hard, but not.
I used the top of the SU invoice as a template for spacing the holes.
The boot I did on Creamy caramel with aquapainter and my yucky set of chalks-three layers of color. Then I did direct to paper with versamark and clear embossing powder, heat set before I cut it out.
this card too a long time to make!

Friends are like the walls of a house. Sometimes they hold you up, sometimes you lean on them. But sometimes, it's enough to know they're just standing by.

This is fabulous! Love the background you created with the stamps on the faux leather - and the lacing really lifts this card out of the ordinary. Very nicely done!!!

I am certainly not your "cowboy" type but I can really appreciate your technique and hard work. If I had a cowboy to send it to - you can bet I would be proud to send it!!!
