I was busy making cards over the weekend as the weather here has turned nasty. UGH! I made this card for a friend who is going through a rough time in her life right now. The base of the card is Riding Hood red and the next layer (the cream layer) is some delicious paper I recently got at Archiver's called Artsylicious by Chatterbox. It comes in cream, chocolate, and black and is a velvet flocked paper in a brocade design. VERY YUMMY! Then I have some other DP that is a vintage black and cream brocade and the "C" is embossed in black on a scrap piece of Basic Grey from the Scarlet Letter collection. I masked the word "Cherish" and only embossed the "C" because I wanted to focus on the word "Courage" for this card. The little strips of RHR have a quote I typed on the computer and reads "Courage is the only magic worth having. -Erica Long". I used some red rhinestones on the flourishes of the "C" and I used some taffeta ribbon that I have in my stash that matches the RHR cardstock perfectly. You can see the inside of this card also where I put another qood quote by Ralph Waldo Emerson. I really hope this card encourages my friend to remain courageous through this time in her life. Thanks for looking!

I love this stamp set but have had a challenge in creating cards with it, so I looked at the gallery specific to these images. Here I found your perfectly gorgeous creation- WITHOUT ANY COMMENTS! Pretty unbelieveable as this is really well-done with a great story behind it. By now, you've given this to your friend and I'm sure she was touched. Beautifully done!
