I stamped the images first, with basic balck and versamark, heat embossed them, then colored the images in with markers. Then I went over the images with a versamark pen and then heat embossed the images with clear EP. Then I used a scrap piece of computer paper torn at the top, covered the top half of the image and the grass with mellow moss, old olive and always artichoke. I also used the leaf stamp from a different stamp set (???) to add a little something extra, and stamped it in always artichoke along the bottom of the card. Then I sponged Apricot appeal on the top half of the card stock and continued to use darker colors to provide the warmth. The last color that I sponged on was Really Rust along the top edge and corners. And of course before I put it all together I had to use a little machine stitching!

Lovely! With all the Christmas stuff I've been seeing in the stores and such since S-e-p-t-e-m-b-e-r, I was afraid I had somehow slept through autumn! As one who likes to savor each season in its own time and to the fullest, your card was a nice reminder ...

Just saw your card posted in the Sunday favorites thread. The colors are beautiful and the stitching really highlights your main image. So glad Shirley found your autumn scene.
