Well...what can I say about this....This is my attempt at the challenge. I thought you might like to see that it doesn't always work as planned - look carefully as the photo doesn't do it justice!! I wasn't sure what you use but thought I would try with what I had - Dimensional Magic...I read in NancyRuth's challenge that she did 4 coats of her product, put it in the freezer and then cracked it - sounded good to me in theory!!! I tried it with one coat and it looked pretty good, so did a second coat, popped it in the freezer for an hour....
imagine my shock when I went to get it and found it covered in furry icicles - I wasn't sure whether to cook it for dinner or make a card with it. I decided on the latter and when I attempted to crack it...chunks fell off...what a disaster. I am about to file it under 'g' for garbage (in other words the bin!), but thought I would show you first....am I the only one that has managed to give their image frost bite!?!? Thanks for looking....my advice is...keep away from suspect icicles, you never know what's lurking under them...and if at first you don't succeed - I want to see it!!!!

What a brave woman to show disasters as well as successes. I wouldn't be too quick to toss it away though - I could see that you could chop up the image and distress it a bit round the edges and make into a shabby chic kind of card, given the right embellishments. That image is very cute though - well worth another go.

Linda, you are so funny! Love that little angel image on yellow! Maybe you should try shabby chic! Never know what could come of it. Love that you showed us.

Thank you ladies for your comments, but I must say...this photo does not do the damage justice...there are great gaping holes in the cracked glass - half his head and halo have gone....it look U-G-L-Y!!! But I have decided not to throw him in the bin - he is on my desk..and makes me laugh - if I can find no other use...I can always chuck him back in the freezer....maybe cook him when things get tough!!! Thanks for your comments!

Linda ,this is just 2 funny, I did not even have crackle stuff so I used clear embossing. I'm with you Linda just save him on your desk ,don't eat him ,just put him back in the freezer every now and then he looks good frosty!!!
