This card was made for the fourth VSN challenge, to copy a look from one of Nicole Kidman's costumes in Moulin Rouge... I chose the "Hindi Rehearsal Gown" - here is the link: http://www.costumersguide.com/moulinrouge/rehersal1.jpg I made a tent topper card to kind of imitate her beautiful jeweled crown. I used a MM circle border punch to make the circle, then mounted it on gold so it would look a little sparkly like a crown. The elephant is a prima stamp. I sort of used Beate's stained glass technique to make the elephant. I heat embossed him in gold, then colored him with red and used vellum glue dots to adhere it to white cardstock, then cut the whole image out and mount it on the black circle. I used part of a die cut felt ribbon to imitate the rich trim on the gown; I also added a MM border punch. I dressed the whole thing up with a little bling to complete the look. I SO love inspiration challenges - thanks for the awesome idea and tfl! More details will be on my blog at www.mothersanddaughters.typepad.com

Ohhh I am in love with that elephant! He looks so cool all embossed and red! Every detail is so spot on with the style you chose...the beautiful scallops, the awesome bold papers, the brilliant colors, and that fancy bejeweled scroll! I LOVE this card, thanks so much for playing!
