Lot's of plaid going on here!.....you just can't see it!!! Went to add a little snow and it turned into a blizzard!!! You can just never depend on the weather, even here in California...!!! LOL......details.......
Stamped my trio of snowmen, paper pieced the hat bands, mittens, little birdie and scarves, using a lot of different plaid dp. Didn't think that maybe these pieces would be too small to notice the plaid on them! LOL Oh well. Colored the hats and noses with faber castel pens. Traced them with a blue marker, sponged craft white on the bottom and put winter wonderland ep over and heat embossed. Cut this scene out.
Stamped the trees on white cs, then stamped over them again with flannel plaid stamp using garden green. Sponged different greens over, then cut them out.
Stamped flannel plaid using sailboat blue, clear eb it. Sponged peeled paint over. Put this all together on a white card sponged green and doodled edges. Popped up the snowflakes, snowmen heads and tree tops. Then the trouble began. I was just going to splattered a little white paint to make it look like a light dusting of snow, but my thumb got carried away and it turned into a blizzard!!!! That happens sometimes! Anyway......TFL :0) P.S. Don't know why this picture isn't cropped, because I cropped it on my computer but somehow it loaded un-cropped! My computer is messing up, I went to type and the key board wouldn't work. So I change batteries, hit the re-set button still no typing. So I just starting punching everything and wal-la, it worked. Sorry about the picture!

what a work of art, Cathy! I love the frosty scene you set with all the glistening snow and the color scheme adds to the appeal! I agree with Barbara the blue edge to the snowman is perfect!

Fabulous scene Nutmeg even if you think it's over snowed LOL! I think it adds a lovely quality to the card and I can see all your plaid. I love the background you made, the snow people are gorgeous and really do pop out with the blue edging. Wonderful trees and snowflake embellishments too. I'm glad you got your keyboard to work, a little punching usually pays off LOL! Hugs, Chris

Cathy..... You know that I USED to be a midwest girl. Well maybe you didn't know. I will not be seeing any blizzards I hope this year cause I am in sunny North Carolina. I LOVE snowmen. Last year we had 72 inches of snow in IL. I still loved my snowmen. My son and I kept one in the front yard all winter. This snowy blizzard scene is just incredible. Love all the work you put into your cards. Have a great night.

LOL... Cathy.... I just love your humor! Punching that cumputer is something I can identify with... mine majorly crashed a month or so ago and I was fit to be tied! I do love love love your snowmen! I happen to love snowmen too... wish we got enough snow here to make one bigger than a couple feet tall.... but you did a great job with the blizzard! Love your flannel and the work on the trees is fantastic! Maybe about Dec 24 you could send a little of this blizzard to NC?!!?
