for this monday's challenge among a small group of friends...make a card inspired by an scs user name. this time, jstarbright. our project must have: patterned paper, bird, star, buttons and brads.
the black striped paper has a silver metallic stripe, and the edging paper for the two black panels is silver metallic. the focal image is stamped with silver pigment ink and embossed using stardust transparent ep. the tiny stars are drawn using a silver gel pen, with a tiny dot of stickles in each center. in order to have both buttons and brads, i put the prongs of silver brads through the button holes of two black buttons and coated each brad with stickles.
thanks for looking!

Well Deb you gotta know I would love this seeing you used an owl hehe! When I first saw this as a thumbnail the buttons/brads in the corner almost looked like a face of a cat hehe ... I know it isn't really but you know how sometimes you see shapes out of shadows haha! I guess the flourish under the button/brads could almost be the nose and mouth of the cat hehe!
love love love it

So beautiful and elegant Deb!! But, then again, you are a pro at elegance!! I actually thought those buttons and brads looked like an owl too. I thought it was planned...you know those paintings that if you look at them long enough you see animals hidden in them? I thought this was genius of you!!
