That cute giraffe just totally inspired me to make another card with an African flavor.
I stamped the giraffe in TH Vintage Photo on mustard then layered it over a piece of copper paper. This went over a Choc Chip panel on which I used the CB distressed stripes (this is the only other thing that I took from the roomscape ... the stripes from the crib spindles). Put that over a piece of really beautiful rough textured paper that doesn't show up in the photo very well. It's from Provo Craft and it's called Textured Heat Wave. How perfect is that for an African-influenced card! The card base is basic black.
I embossed my own brads and overheated them with the hope of achieving a hammered copper effect and it worked! But not sure it shows in the photo. Was thrilled to add fiber to a card for change, too!
Hope you like it and, as ever, thanks for looking!
