I have Markie's Mom to thank for the eventual making of this card! Faith was kind enough to point me in the right direction to find Lumiere paint for the recent acetate challenge.
The manufacturer's website sent me trekking to Daniel Smith Art Supply to find these little treasures. OR NOT!
Thankfully, Faith said I could use any flexible acrylic paint. So I bought Duochrome Luminescent acrylic. It's awesome! It looks different from any given angle.
So you're probably wondering what this has to do with anything. Well, the acetate card was an abject failure. This paint is meant to be painted over black to achieve the wonderful shimmery color.
I scrapped the acetate card and used this paint over a black cuttlebugged panel. Cut out the Lace Tree image from the CB panel. Then layered it over a pre-made gold textured paper and again over gold shimmer stock. Added rhinestones and I'm calling it a Christmas card. Phooey on acetate, evidently it was just not meant to be ...

Oh poor girl...it didnt go your way today ... bummer! You poor poor Divine Ms M. I love your caption ...acetate schmacetate! Was this for a particular challenge. I guess it's safe for me to assume you wont be doing anything like this too soon in the future. I do happen to think you've created a stellar card here despite what you say! Love the cb bg and the tree is really stunning. Sometimes when something screws up our creative energy, nothing seems to go right after that! Poor girl. I feel your pain on this one!
