I first covered a 5.5x5.5 size card with this wonderful country print It looks old, even though you might not be able to tell it from this picture. The green is the coordinating pattern on the back. I felt like I needed another pattern, so I scored the green with my Scor-Pal and then colored the lines with my Copic Marker.
The house is stamped using Marvy Watercolor Markers from Art Impressions. I love this new (for me) technique I am learning. I wanted to incorporate a little more red so I added a border to both the watercolor and the stamped child image. I cut, embossed and framed the child with my Nestabilities. Something was needed at the bottom of the child, so I used my new JustRite Special Occasion Fonts and spelled out the word Joy. A dazzling red bling finished it off.
The child image was colored using Copic Markers. Because I wanted a homey feeling for this card, I added some vintage looking lace from Wal-Mart. To finish off the card, I stamped the word Memories.
I popped everything up with some Dimensionals. I think this adds so much to a card instead of having everything flat.
