Yesterday I recreated a card from a few years ago using A Cardinal Christmas. I enjoyed doing the cut out card and I decided to try one with this set. The challenge on this card was getting the background to look right. I ended up stamping the harvest image and making a mask. Then I stamped it on the background piece and after watercoloring it, I masked it and sponged by background. It took a little time but I'm pretty pleased with the results. I made the mistake of using the pop up glue dots to pop up the cut out image, and they didn't work as well. I'll go back to dimensionals the next time. Oh, the Hodgepodge frame is the new vanilla frame and I sanded it a little then sponged creamy caramel on it and added some little touches of gold on it.

Nice job, Sharon...you are a detail oriented person! Love the HPH, I wouldn't have realized you sanded and sponged it if you hadn't told me, I would just have thought it was the scan. But that is very clever...I was thrilled to finally get my hands on the vanilla frames when I opened my box this morning...my cello bag split and the frames all came out (not the brads, thank goodness!) so I had fun looking at each and every frame as I picked thru the box! ;-) Jan
What a cute card. There is so much detail and your colors are wonderful. Great job.
