This is the second of the cards I made for Beate's WSC #55. It's one of those cards that it's so hard to get a good picture of - this is the best of about 15!
I used the dragonfly set that I got yesterday, and as with the LSC yesterday I used vellum and also ended up with faux metal.
The card base is Bazzill Bling. The next layer is a flower bg stamp from the set, stamped with Brilliance Thyme Green onto vellum and wrapped around white card. The next panel is a gold embossed swirl stamped onto white card, mounted on to more green Bazzill. The edges of the green and white are both wiped with Encore Gold and embossed with gold EP. Originally I stamped the sentiment onto white card, embossed it with gold EP, and then embossed the edges of the white panel, and then a blue Bazzill Bling layer. By the end of all this, though, the embossing on the sentiment had got overheated and had sunk into the paper, so I had to ditch that and use faux metal. Now when I mounted it up onto the blue Bazzill I couldn't heat emboss the edges, so I went round them with gold Stickles.
The dragonfly is made with Fantasy Film. I stamped it with Staz-On Stone Grey twice onto 3 layers of film each time, cut out one set of wings and stuck them on after bending the ends slightly to make the wings stick up. I added two little seed beads for the eyes. I used blue and white stripy ones which I like for bugs eyes, but in the end I covered them with gold Stickles.
